About the Role:
Youth Elevation LLC is looking for a passionate and dedicated Therapeutic Skill Builder to join our team in Lynchburg, VA! In this rewarding role, you'll make a direct impact on the lives of young people by helping them develop essential life skills and overcome personal challenges. Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized therapeutic skill-building sessions to youth clients in home, community, and school settings
- Implement treatment plans developed by clinical supervisors to support behavioral and emotional growth
- Teach coping strategies, social skills, and self-regulation techniques to children and adolescents
- Document session progress, client goals, and behavioral observations in a timely and accurate manner
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary treatment teams to ensure continuity of care
- Model positive behavior and serve as a role model for youth clients
- Monitor and report changes in client behavior or safety concerns to supervising clinicians
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field preferred
- Prior experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with behavioral health needs
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and youth development principles
- Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries while building trusting relationships with youth
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required
- Must pass background check and meet state licensing requirements
