Road Crew Laboror

The Road Crew Laboror plays a vital role in supporting road construction and maintenance projects by operating a variety of equipment and handling materials from sub base preparation through to boxing in roads for asphalt application. Working within small teams of 2-5 members, they ensure work sites are safe, well-prepared, and maintained while responding quickly to on-site emergencies. This role involves daily local travel to multiple sites and requires strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate mixed construction and maintenance equipment efficiently
• Perform road maintenance from sub base through base and boxing stages
• Prepare and set up work sites for road projects
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
• Handle and transport materials required for road construction
• Coordinate tasks and communicate effectively within a small team
• Conduct regular equipment inspections to maintain proper working condition
• Respond promptly and appropriately to site emergencies
• Travel locally daily to various project sites

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in road construction
• Valid driver's license
• Experience operating heavy equipment
• Knowledge of construction safety practices
• Strong material handling skills
• Effective team communication and problem-solving abilities
• Physical stamina to perform labor-intensive tasks
