Production Associate

Peoplelink Staffing has partnered with a PREMIER employer in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. Our customer continually expands its solution capabilities by leveraging its automotive engineering expertise and experience in other key industries. The Mount Pleasant plant specializes in industrial fluid, focusing on producing various types of hoses, including industrial, garden, twin line welding, fuel line, washing machine hookup, heater, and automotive hoses.

We are seeking dedicated Production Associate to join their fast-paced, quality-oriented team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of industrial machinery and ensuring the production of high-quality products in the production areas of the plant.

Production Associate Job Summary:

• The plant operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so flexibility in working hours is required.
• Pay rate is $17.50 per hour
• $3.00 per hour shift premium for night shift
• $1.00 per hour incentive for all hours worked Fri, Sat, and Sun
• Shifts: 12 hours per day on a rotating schedule.
• Day shift is 5:50am – 6:00pm
• Night shift is 5:50pm - 6:00am
• Work 3 days, off 2 days, work 2 days, off 3 days.
• This results in working 48 hours one week and 36 hours the next week.
• Work only 14-16 days per month!

• Production Associate Duties:
• • Operate industrial machinery in a computerized, quality-focused environment.
  • Collaborate closely with other operators, spiral team lead, and spiral coordinator.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and use required personal protective equipment.
  • Set up and operate equipment efficiently and safely, including installing and removing tooling.
  • Complete all production and quality reports accurately (both paper and computer-based).
  • Monitor and maintain product quality throughout the production process; contact Quality Assurance when needed.
  • Perform basic operator maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and solve simple mechanical problems.
  • Work effectively in a self-directed team environment, participating in team meetings, committee meetings, special projects, and task forces.
  • Maintain routine housekeeping in the work area and throughout the plant.
  Production Associate Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Read and interpret documents (safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Accurate use of basic math (add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals)
  • 0-2+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted
  • Must be able to stand for up to 12+ hours.
  • Must be able to push, pull, reach, twist, turn, stoop, walk, stand for up to 12+ hours.
