Dietary Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Dietary Manager to oversee the nutrition services within a healthcare or assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing food service operations, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and developing care plans that promote optimal patient health. This role requires strong leadership, management skills, and a comprehensive understanding of clinical nutrition, food safety, and health regulation policies. The Dietary Manager will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and patient satisfaction while managing budgets and supervising food service teams.

Duties

• Lead and manage the dietary department, including supervising food service staff and managing team schedules.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans that incorporate nutritional needs and dietary restrictions.
• Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate nutritional interventions and evaluate progress.
• Oversee food production processes ensuring adherence to food safety management practices and health code compliance.
• Manage budgets for the dietary department, including purchasing, inventory control, and cost-effective resource allocation.
• Ensure all food service activities comply with health regulation policies and safety standards.
• Supervise meal planning, preparation, and presentation to meet the dietary needs of patients or residents.
• Coordinate with healthcare teams to integrate nutrition strategies into overall patient care plans.
