Do you have a passion for helping others?  If you are looking for a unique opportunity to grow your career in healthcare, then consider joining our team as an Allergy Technician!  The ENT Clinic of Iowa, P.C., is an innovative enterprise that offers an advanced and proven technology to relieve most forms of allergies and sensitivities.  In this role, you will be responsible for offering hands-on patient care for allergy-related conditions, supporting daily operations of an allergy department within a medical practice by working closely with the Otolaryngologist(s), and promoting the best health-related options.  Our Technicians are responsible for partnering with providers to educate patients on the benefits of immunotherapy treatment.

On the job training will be provided.

 

Job Responsibilities

·         The Allergy Technician will maintain a professional demeanor & positive attitude, and proactively address any issues concerning the allergy department through an objective manner.  Respect, Integrity, Safety, Expertise, Unity and Positive energy with day-to-day operations are expected to create a professional and productive workplace.  Develops and maintains effective, professional relationships with providers, medical office staff, and PPS team.

·         Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, as well as the ability to identify appropriate tasks to be carried out.  Must show great detail to orientation and accuracy and exhibit quality performance of essential job functions.  Professional decorum is expected to be maintained in/out of the workplace.

·         Responsible for the effectiveness of the immunotherapy processes to include the administration of quality allergy testing, immunotherapy injections, and the formulation and compounding of the allergy medication.

·         Will help ensure compliance throughout the duration of immunotherapy treatment.  Will complete all appropriate paperwork and insurance eligibility verification for each patient prior to test and immunotherapy as appropriate.

·         Assist with maintenance and security of inventory levels.
