Lawn Care Crew Leader - Full Time

May’s Lawn Care, LLC is seeking an experienced, hardworking, and dependable Lawn Care Crew Leader to join our growing team. This is a full-time leadership position for someone who has professional lawn care and landscaping experience and is comfortable leading a crew while working alongside them in the field.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can keep a crew productive and organized, and understands the importance of providing high-quality service to our clients.

Responsibilities

As a Crew Leader, you will be responsible for leading a crew of approximately 3–5 team members and ensuring assigned jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. Responsibilities may include:

• Driving company trucks and towing equipment trailers
• Operating zero-turn mowers and commercial lawn care equipment
• Mowing, trimming, edging, and general turf maintenance
• Leaf and debris removal
• Pruning and landscape maintenance
• Mulching and landscape installations
• Installing ornamental shrubs and trees
• Grading and site preparation
• Hardscaping
• Excavation
• Operating compact tractors and other landscaping equipment
• Managing daily crew productivity and job completion
• Maintaining a professional and respectful relationship with customers
• Ensuring customer properties, company vehicles, tools, and equipment are properly cared for

Schedule

Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, with the potential for Saturday and Sunday work depending on workload, weather, and seasonal demands.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must have:

• 3–5 years of professional experience with an established lawn care or landscaping company
• Previous crew lead, foreman, or similar leadership experience
• Experience managing a crew of approximately 3–5 employees
• Experience operating zero-turn mowers, leaf removal equipment, compact tractors, and other commercial turf and landscaping equipment
• Experience installing ornamental shrubs and trees
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to work on short notice when necessary
• Ability to regularly lift at least 50 lbs.
• Certified Fertilizer Applicator Certification or willingness to obtain certification

The ideal candidate will be dependable, organized, productive, and capable of completing assigned work within expected timeframes. Crew Leaders are expected to maintain a professional, courteous, and respectful attitude toward customers, coworkers, and customer property.
