Located in beautiful Sandusky, Ohio, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Evening Shift Dietary Cook to join our health care team at Concord Care Center of Sandusky. As a Dietary Cook, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional culinary services to our residents while maintaining a high level of quality and safety in food preparation and presentation.

About the Role:

• As a Dietary Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of menu items to our residents, including entrees, sides, and desserts.

• You will ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, safety, and taste.

• You will work closely with our dietary team to plan and execute special events and functions for our residents.

• You will maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all sanitation and safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menus

• Maintain accurate records of food inventory, ordering, and usage

• Collaborate with the dietary team to plan and execute special events and functions

• Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, safety, and taste

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all sanitation and safety protocols

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the dining experience for our residents

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Previous experience as a cook or in a related field preferred

• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
