As a Heat Treat Operator, you'll be responsible for preparing and processing aerospace castings through our heat treat operations. You'll work with multiple furnaces and ensure castings are properly identified, processed, documented, and moved efficiently through production.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Set up and operate multiple heat treat furnaces.
- Sort and serialize castings according to specific heat treat requirements.
- Set up castings on fixtures for processing.
- Maintain accurate heat treat logs for castings and test materials.
- Follow detailed written and verbal instructions, procedures, and work specifications.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to keep castings moving efficiently through the heat treat process.
- Maintain a safe, responsible, and professional work environment.
- Follow all safety and quality requirements to ensure our products meet the high standards expected in aerospace manufacturing.
You don't have to know everything on day one. We're looking for someone who is reliable, willing to learn, safety-minded, and takes pride in doing quality work.
Successful candidates will have:
- Basic math skills, including addition.
- The ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to retrieve, organize, and save files and emails.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience; aerospace casting experience is a plus!
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with people across the organization.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude.
- A solid employment history, including more than one year with a previous or recent employer.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment background check.
- Willingness to participate in pre-employment and periodic drug screening.
- Ability to complete a baseline hearing test prior to starting.
This is a hands-on manufacturing position performed in a production environment. Employees may experience exposure to noise, varying temperatures, machinery, and industrial equipment.
Safety is a top priority, and employees are expected to work responsibly and professionally at all times.
Weekend Grave ShiftWeekend Grave Shift: 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM
Plus a $2.50/hour shift differential!
