Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Rehab position requiring 1+ years of experience and LTC or Rehab setting background, with new grads considered if Level II experience is met.
Details
- Setting: Long-term care/rehab facility, Physical Therapy unit
- Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday
- Start time flexible between 6AM and 10AM, but must remain consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehab
- No weekend or on-call requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of PT experience required
- LTC or Rehab setting experience required
- MO state license required (license required if applicable)
- Compact license accepted
- New graduates considered if they have completed Level II clinical experience (not just Level I observation)
- One reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Screens, evaluates, and rehabilitates patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care needs
- Develops and adjusts individualized plans of care based on patient progress and outcomes
- Administers manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, ambulation training, modalities, and wound care as needed
- Provides consultation to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders
- Documents all treatment and regulatory information in the electronic documentation system
- Participates in required meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings
- May supervise physical therapist assistants, rehab aides, and/or students
- Maintains adherence to APTA and state practice standards, code of conduct, and ethics
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be requested
