Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of CT experience and ARRT certification, with candidates comfortable working solo overnight.

Details

• Short term acute care teaching hospital setting with 59 total staff beds
• Sole CT Technologist working overnight shift
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 20:00-8:00
• Weekend overnight shifts required including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 20:00-8:00
• No unit floating required
• No on-call required
• Epic charting system preferred
• GE and PACS equipment used

Requirements

• ARRT (CT), ARRT (R), and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Valid state license or compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• License required if applicable
• Experience with 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction (MRP), and region of interest (ROI) measurement preferred
• Experience with abdomen and pelvis imaging with and without contrast
• Experience with head and neck imaging including carotid, sinuses, soft tissue neck, and trauma head
• Experience with spine and musculoskeletal imaging including cervical, lumbar, thoracic, and musculoskeletal trauma
• Experience with chest imaging including vascular chest studies (PE, CTA, aorta)
• Skilled in isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
• Adult acute care and ICU experience preferred
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging across abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest studies with and without contrast
• Any color scrubs accepted
• No parking fee at facility
• First-time travelers considered for this position
• Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Candidates within a 50-mile radius may be accepted at a lower bill rate
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the submission process
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• Facility does not accept candidates with Nursys or background check hits
• Pre-start and annual training modules required, averaging 16 hours
