Air Export Agent

Our client, a leader in the logistics and freight forwarding industry, is seeking a dedicated Air Export Agent to join their team. As an Air Export Agent, you will be part of the Logistics Department supporting the freight forwarding operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Air Export Agent

Location: Jamaica, NY

Pay Range:

Shift: 8:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday through Friday

What's the Job?

• Provide high-quality customer service by developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and operational teams.
• Prepare, analyze, and submit documentation to ensure compliance with transportation laws and regulations.
• Anticipate, identify, and resolve issues that could delay freight movement or release.
• Coordinate with brokers, service providers, and internal teams to exceed customer service expectations.
• Handle special shipments such as ITAR, out-of-gauge, and hazardous materials, ensuring safety and compliance.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Air Export .
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with freight documentation and regulations.
• Strong knowledge of air export regulations, Schedule B tariff classification, and international trade banking requirements.
• Experience handling hazardous materials and dangerous goods shipping regulations.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
