About this job

Description

• Clean, strip, sand, grind, mask, apply conversion coatings, and seal aircraft skins, parts, and sub-assemblies.

• Cleans work area, spray booths, racks, drying ovens, and changes filters in booths when required.

• Mix and apply primers, epoxies, urethanes, and topcoats using HVLP spray guns and specialized tools.

• Follow, paint schematics, and design layouts for branding, stencils, and placard application.

• Inspect finished surfaces for flaws, proper adhesion, and color accuracy.

• Follow xCelle Americas company policies and procedures.

• Follow FAA, OSHA, and environmental protocols, including hazardous waste disposal and respirator use.

• Coordinate with Lead Technician to support production schedule.

• Complete maintenance records by utilizing their endorsement, in accordance with xCelle Americas Quality Management System.

• Notify immediate supervisor of any suspected un-airworthy condition noted while performing their duties.

• Train, coach and mentor lower grade painters in the performance of their duties, as necessary.

• Other duties as needed or as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• Minimum of 3 years performing painting processes, with 5+ years of aviation painting experience preferred.

• Ability to read, write and understand English fluently.

• Ability to lift up to 40-50 lbs, stand for long periods, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

• Ability to pass a pulmonary function test for respirator clearance.
