About the Role:
PIMA BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PLLC is looking for a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated team in Tucson, AZ. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients navigating mental health challenges in a supportive, patient-centered environment.

- DO NOT apply for this position if you are not willing to work in-office a minimum of 3 days per week. This is a hybrid position with most patients seen in-person with possibility of work from home 1 days per week depending on demand.
- DO NOT apply for this position if you have less than 1 year experience as a full time PMHNP.
- Salary negotiable DOE
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments for new and existing patients
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
- Develop, implement, and manage individualized treatment plans including psychopharmacology
- Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications, adjusting as clinically appropriate
- Provide supportive psychotherapy and supportive counseling as part of integrated care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams, therapists, and community resources
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Participate in care coordination and follow-up to ensure continuity of patient care
Requirements:
- MINIMUM 1 year experience as a PMHNP, 2+ years experience is strongly preferred
- Active and unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Arizona (PMHNP certification required)
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a Psychiatric-Mental Health specialization
- Current DEA registration and prescriptive authority in Arizona
- Experience in psychiatric evaluation, psychopharmacology, and behavioral health treatment
- Strong knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and evidence-based psychiatric practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a clinical team
- Experience with EHR systems and clinical documentation best practices
