Fire Protection Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Fire Protection Engineering.
• Minimum of five years of practical experience in the design or construction field.
• Qualifying experience must include direct responsibility for the design, construction, major repair, or management of mechanical infrastructure systems.
• At least three years of the required experience must have occurred within the past four years.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
• Must be able to travel approximately 6–12 times per year.
• Must be able to work a hybrid schedule connected to the San Antonio office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer license is highly preferred.
• Multifaceted skills and extensive practical experience within the mechanical trade discipline.
• Experience analyzing plans, designs, operations, maintenance practices, and infrastructure data.
• Ability to develop estimates and recommend repairs, sustainment, and building infrastructure optimizations.
• Knowledge of local, municipal, and federal building codes, criteria, and standards.
