Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nursing Home Administrator to lead and oversee the daily operations of a senior care facility specializing in assisted living, memory care, and long-term care services. In this vital role, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality resident care, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and foster a positive environment for residents, families, and staff. Duties
- Lead and manage all aspects of facility operations, including staff supervision, resident services, and administrative functions
- Develop, implement, and monitor care plans tailored to residents’ individual needs, including Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, and memory support programs
- Oversee budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation to ensure efficient operation while maintaining quality standards
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to long-term care, assisted living, and healthcare services
- Supervise staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development to build a motivated team
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals such as nurses, social workers, and therapists to deliver comprehensive resident care
- Manage medication administration protocols and ensure safety procedures are rigorously followed
- Foster strong relationships with residents’ families and community partners to promote transparency and trust in the facility’s services
- Oversee facility maintenance, safety protocols, and emergency preparedness plans to create a secure environment for residents and staff
Experience
- Proven experience in nursing home administration or senior care management with a focus on long-term or assisted living facilities
- Extensive knowledge of assisted living operations, nursing home regulations, Alzheimer’s care, dementia support strategies, and memory care programs
- Demonstrated supervisory experience leading multidisciplinary teams within home & community care settings or group homes
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, resource planning, and operational management
- Background working with individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring specialized memory support is highly desirable
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures and healthcare compliance standards
- Prior experience managing retirement homes or senior living communities is preferred
