Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist (OT) Inpatient position located in a hospital setting. This role involves evaluating and treating adult patients with various diagnoses, including general deconditioning, total joint replacements, postoperative orthopedic conditions, neuro diagnoses, and general medical-surgical cases. The candidate will work in an acute hospital environment, with responsibilities that include utilizing electronic medical records and providing care across different units as needed.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 8 hours shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Active Minnesota state occupational therapy licensure; BLS certification from the American Heart Association; at least 1 year of recent inpatient hospital experience within the past 3 years; willingness to float to outpatient units if needed; preferably experienced in acute care settings
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with evaluation and treatment of adult diagnoses in an acute hospital environment; familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EPIC) system; willingness to cross-train to Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) for intermittent coverage, though not a requirement
- Additional Information: The unit is licensed for 118 beds with an average caseload of approximately 30-40 patients. Orientation includes computer-based training, EPIC system familiarization, and departmental onboarding. The dress code is charcoal grey scrubs or business casual, with polo shirts or business casual attire. Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to other units or departments.
- Credentials: Candidates must submit a license to practice and be willing to wait for license verification.
