Patient Care Coordinator
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM | Friday, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
About the Role
We are seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to support daily patient access and administrative operations in a healthcare setting. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service, coordinating appointments, maintaining accurate electronic health records, and supporting patients throughout their care experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient check-in and check-out processes.
- Answer incoming calls and accurately document patient inquiries in the EHR.
- Conduct patient outreach for appointments, follow-ups, and required services.
- Schedule appointments according to established scheduling protocols.
- Manage administrative in-basket pools and work queues.
- Scan and upload documents into the EHR following standard procedures.
- Maintain the confidentiality of patients' medical, personal, and financial information.
- Provide professional and compassionate customer service to patients.
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ year of receptionist or customer service experience.
- Beginner-level proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information professionally.
Preferred:
- Previous experience working with EPIC/Epic EHR.
- Healthcare, medical office, or patient-facing experience.
