Step into a vital role supporting students’ growth and development at Meridian Academy, a specialized program serving middle and high schoolers with intensive behavioral and social/emotional needs. As a school psychologist or social worker, you’ll have the chance to make a lasting impact, working directly with a dedicated team and supporting students who require individualized attention to thrive academically and personally.

This contract opportunity spans the school year, with a start date as soon as possible and concluding at the end of May 2027. You’ll provide on-site support at Meridian Academy, handling a caseload currently at 23 students (with a max of 30), all in grades 6 through 12, delivering comprehensive mental health services and collaborating closely with faculty.

What We’re Looking For:

• Active Colorado Department of Education SSP license (School Psychologist or School Social Worker endorsement)
• Previous experience supporting students with significant behavioral or social/emotional needs, particularly in facility placements, day treatment, or alternative educational settings
• Solid understanding of IEP development, evaluations, and participation in IEP meetings
• Familiarity with mental health interventions, crisis response, and behavioral coaching in a school environment
• Strong collaborative skills to work with staff, faculty, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver mental health and counseling services in accordance with IEPs
• Conduct timely evaluations, monitoring, and documentation as required by school and district guidelines
• Proactively participate in IEP meetings, helping develop plans tailored to student success
• Serve as a resource for behavioral interventions and staff support
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
