Special Education Teacher - Richardson, TX

An immediate opportunity exists for an experienced Special Education Teacher to work full-time in a Transitional Learning Classroom. As the lead educator in a self-contained classroom, you'll guide students with behavioral, emotional, and learning challenges. Your expertise and genuine compassion will empower students to thrive, both inside and outside the classroom.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Texas Special Education Teaching Certification required
• EC-12th Special Education certification and Generalist EC-6th grade content certification
• Previous experience working with elementary students in special education settings preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and capacity to foster positive classroom environments
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning, emotional, and behavioral needs

Responsibilities Include:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Teach and reinforce core subjects using differentiated instruction
• Collaborate closely with support staff, counselors, and families
• Document student progress and actively participate in IEP meetings
• Foster social, emotional, and academic growth in a structured environment
• Maintain classroom management and use positive behavioral supports
