We are looking for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our client's finance team in Fort Worth, Texas. This permanent role supports accurate revenue accounting, financial reporting, and forecasting while partnering with internal teams to strengthen financial performance. The position offers a hybrid schedule with one remote day per week, a collaborative work environment, and limited travel.


Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounting activities tied to revenue-related balance sheet accounts, ensuring records are complete and properly supported.

• Prepare forecasts and monitor reserve balances connected to revenue transactions to promote accurate and timely reporting.

• Manage income statement activity associated with storage and demurrage, including analysis of monthly results and key variances.

• Produce quarterly and annual accounts receivable disclosures and other supporting financial statement documentation.

• Complete required revenue reporting packages, including regulatory filings such as R-1 reports, with a high degree of accuracy.

• Collaborate with business partners across finance and operations to resolve issues, improve reporting quality, and support decision-making.

• Coordinate with external auditors by supplying schedules, explanations, and documentation related to revenue accounting matters.

• Evaluate current workflows, identify opportunities for efficiency, and implement process enhancements that strengthen internal controls.

• Support month-end close activities through reconciliations, journal entries, and review of general ledger balances related to assigned areas.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
• At least 1 year of accounting experience in a corporate accounting department or similar work setting.
• Working knowledge of financial reporting standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Ability to analyze accounting questions, research appropriate guidance, and recommend sound accounting treatment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills for working effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger activity.
• Master’s degree, CPA credential, public accounting background, or 2+ years of relevant experience is preferred.
