  • Collaborate with the broader clinical research team to ensure adherence to study protocols and high-quality data collection.
  • Interact occasionally with the principal investigator (PI) and clinical research associates (CRAs) to discuss participant progress and study-related matters, as needed.

  • Experience or strong interest in clinical research settings.
  • Ability to design and implement individualized diet and exercise plans based on protocol requirements.
  • Strong skills in health education and patient teaching, particularly around nutrition and physical activity tracking.
  • Ability to interpret and apply inclusion and exclusion criteria to determine participant eligibility.
  • Clear and professional communication skills for working with participants and clinical research staff.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to established protocols and documentation standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification is preferred; training can be provided if not already obtained.
  • Prior experience working with clinical research associates (CRAs) and principal investigators (PIs) is beneficial.
  • Experience with lifestyle management programs, including diet and exercise interventions, is an advantage.
  • Comfort with educating individuals on self-monitoring tools for diet and physical activity.
  • Ability to work independently within a structured research framework while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Work Environment

This is a part-time, on-site position based in Salisbury, North Carolina, with an expected schedule of approximately 15–20 hours per week. The role offers a flexible schedule, allowing you to coordinate your hours within the needs of the study. You will work in a clinical research setting with access to study-provided materials and tools for participant education and data collection.
