Job Title: Superintendent

Job Description

We are seeking a Superintendent to oversee all field operations on commercial and industrial construction projects. The role involves scheduling, coordinating, inspecting, and directing subcontractors to ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to company standards. The Superintendent will collaborate closely with Project Managers during preconstruction, startup, execution, and closeout phases, maintaining responsibility for field leadership and jobsite performance. The ideal candidate is a proven construction leader capable of independently managing projects from start to finish, creating and maintaining schedules, coordinating site logistics, and leading project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all field construction activities and subcontractor coordination.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce project schedules.
  • Conduct project startup, planning, logistics, and sequencing activities.
  • Manage quality control and ensure work complies with contract documents.
  • Participate in subcontractor buyout and scope review meetings.
  • Facilitate weekly subcontractor meetings and progress updates.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and procurement tracking.
  • Maintain as-built drawings and project documentation.
  • Work closely with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Manage project safety programs and subcontractor compliance.
  • Mentor Assistant Superintendents and field personnel.
  • Lead project closeout activities and transition projects to clients.

  • Strong knowledge of tilt-wall construction and sitework.

  • Knowledge of construction safety programs and OSHA requirements.
  • Ability to interpret plans, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work.
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Build, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and project management software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain project momentum and hold trades accountable.
  • Ability to travel as project demands require.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 12+ years of construction experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success as a Superintendent on large commercial construction projects.
  • OSHA 30 Certification required.
  • First Aid, CPR, and additional safety training required.
  • Georgia Soil & Water Conservation Commission Level 1A Certification required.
  • Experience leading large industrial, warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or commercial projects.
  • Experience managing project schedules, logistics, subcontractors, and safety programs.
  • Strong tenure and employment stability preferred.

Work Environment

This position operates primarily on active construction sites and project offices. Candidates should be comfortable working in outdoor environments and navigating large-scale construction projects. Most projects are located in the Atlanta area; however, travel to Jacksonville and other regional markets may be required. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $79.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
