Attorney/Lawyer

Robert Half is seeking a Corporate Generalist Attorney for a contract opportunity with a growing organization. This role is ideal for an attorney with 3-5 years of experience who enjoys working across a broad range of corporate legal matters and thrives in a dynamic business environment. The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting commercial transactions, contract negotiations, compliance initiatives, and customer-facing legal matters.

This position can be performed fully remote or from the company's office in Danbury, Connecticut.

Start Date: Mid-October

Duration: 3+ months (potential to extend)

Location: Remote (Danbury, CT)

Hours: Standard Business Hours (35-40 hours per week)

Pay Rate: $60-$75 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Review, draft, negotiate, and manage a variety of commercial agreements, including:
• Sales agreements
• Software license agreements
• SaaS agreements
• Vendor and service agreements
• Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs)
• Provide legal support for customer and vendor negotiations.
• Assist with the preparation and review of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
• Manage and coordinate responses to customer security questionnaires, compliance inquiries, and government audits.
• Partner with internal stakeholders across sales, operations, technology, and compliance teams.
• Conduct legal research and provide practical business-focused guidance on a variety of corporate matters.
• Support special projects and initiatives as needed and demonstrate flexibility in taking on new responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 3-5 years of corporate, commercial contracts, or in-house legal experience.
• Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Demonstrated experience with software licensing, including both on-premises and SaaS licensing models.
• Experience supporting RFP responses, compliance reviews, security questionnaires, or audit-related matters is highly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn new areas of law and contribute to a wide variety of projects.
