Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with daily living activities
• Taking vital signs and monitoring patient condition
• Helping patients feel safe and comfortable
• Supporting the nursing team and participating in unit activities
• Maintaining documentation and following Dignity Health patient care standards 

Essential Skills

• Current AHA BLS/CPR Certification
• Current California CNA Certification
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Program 

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 6+ months recent CNA experience 
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to build patient relationships
• Basic medical terminology knowledge
• Computer literacy
• Ability to work effectively in a hospital team environment

Work Environment

This role is based in a fast-paced hospital setting where you will work closely with physicians, nurses, case managers, ancillary departments, and external providers. You will use electronic medical record and electronic health record systems, including Epic, to document and manage patient information. The environment requires consistent attention to detail, timely communication, and the ability to handle multiple priorities related to patient care and documentation. Shifts include early morning and daytime schedules, such as a 3:00 AM start to approximately 6:45 AM and a 1:00 PM start to approximately 6:45 PM, with work focused on supporting inpatient and outpatient workflows, discharge planning, and utilization review activities.

This is a Contract position based out of Oxnard, CA.

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $37.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
