Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Court Secretary to provide direct administrative and clerical support to a judge. This Long-term contract position is ideal for someone who can manage court-related documentation, coordinate a complex schedule, and maintain organized communication in a fast-paced legal setting. The selected candidate should be ready to begin as soon as possible and contribute dependable support throughout the assignment.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare, review, and submit legal documents through electronic filing systems while ensuring accuracy and compliance with court procedures.
• Coordinate the Judge’s calendar by organizing hearings, meetings, deadlines, and other time-sensitive commitments.
• Transcribe dictated notes, correspondence, and court-related materials into clear and professionally formatted documents.
• Maintain organized records of filings, case materials, and administrative documents for efficient retrieval and tracking.
• Communicate with internal court staff and external parties to support scheduling, document handling, and routine case-related coordination.
• Monitor filing deadlines and procedural requirements to help keep court documentation current and properly processed.
• Demonstrated experience supporting legal or court operations in an administrative or secretarial capacity.• Practical knowledge of electronic filing processes, including e-Filing and court filing procedures.
• Strong calendar management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities accurately.
• Proficiency in handling dictation and producing clear, well-written documents with a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Strong organizational and communication skills suited to a structured legal environment.
