Special Education Teacher | National City, California

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Active California Education Specialist Instruction Credential with authorization for Moderate/Severe Disabilities (required)
• Demonstrated experience supporting students with significant cognitive, behavioral, and developmental needs
• Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and relevant compliance protocols
• Passion for encouraging independence, building self-esteem, and integrating diverse learners into the school community
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans aligned with IEP goals
• Deliver differentiated instruction to address a range of learning styles and abilities
• Work effectively with aides, therapists, and other support professionals
• Monitor student progress, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
