Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Magalia, California

Key Qualifications:

• Certification by the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, or a score of 4.0 or higher on the EIPA, ESSE-I/R, or NAD/ACCI assessment
• Candidates with an EIPA under 4.0 will be considered for the ASL Para role
• Proficiency in both sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign interpreting
• Experience supporting students in academic, vocational, and daily living skills preferred
• Ability to effectively collaborate with students, teachers, and school personnel
• Comfortable working onsite, full-time (approximately 30 hours per week)
• Strong preference for experience at the middle or high school level (indicate preference when applying)

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret in real-time between students and staff, ensuring clarity and inclusion
• Support instruction by assisting students in reading, writing, math, and other academic subjects
• Help students develop vocational and life skills as part of their overall education
• Supervise and monitor students during classroom, outdoor, and community activities
• Foster an environment where all students can thrive and connect with their peers
