We have been asked by a client in Kokomo, Indiana to help them find a Delivery Driver / Material Assistant. In this role, you will play an important part in keeping construction projects moving by delivering materials, tools, and equipment where they're needed most. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying active, working independently, and being part of a team that supports field operations and project success.

 

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

 

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, some overtime (5-10 hours weekly)

 

What will you do as a Delivery Driver / Material Assistant?

 

  • Deliver materials, equipment, tools, and fabricated components to jobsites and company locations
  • Pick up materials from vendors and suppliers to support ongoing projects
  • Safely load, unload, and secure deliveries for transport
  • Operate company vehicles, including pickup trucks and flatbed trucks
  • Horganize and prepare materials, tools, and equipment for field crews
  • Assist with warehouse inventory, storage, and general organization
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concernsComplete basic maintenance and minor repairs on tools and equipment
  • Work closely with warehouse, office, and field personnel to ensure materials arrive where and when they are needed
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment

 

What qualifications will you have as a Delivery Driver / Material Assistant?

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to safely operate a variety of company vehicles
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a safety-first mindset
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
  • Comfortable working in warehouse, outdoor, and construction jobsite environments
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others
