Quality Control Technician

Pay: $21.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: 12-hour shifts

Day Shift: 4:30 AM–4:30 PM

Night Shift: 4:30 PM–4:30 AM

Job Type: Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire

Location: Burnet, TX

Job Summary

We are seeking hands-on Quality Control Technicians to support a busy manufacturing and fabrication operation. This position is ideal for someone with previous experience in production, manufacturing, machine operation, fabrication, or quality inspection who is comfortable using basic precision measuring tools.

You do not need to be a senior-level Quality Control professional. Candidates with production or manufacturing experience who have performed quality checks and know how to use measuring equipment are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect raw materials, manufactured components, and finished products for quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • Use tape measures, calipers, micrometers, gauges, squares, and other measuring tools to verify product dimensions.
  • Compare measurements against work orders, drawings, specifications, or production requirements.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections throughout the production process.
  • Identify defects, incorrect measurements, or products that do not meet specifications.
  • Document inspection results and communicate quality concerns to production personnel.
  • Work closely with machine operators, welders, production employees, and supervisors to address quality issues.
  • Follow established quality procedures and safety requirements.
  • Work in a hands-on manufacturing environment that may include both indoor and outdoor work areas.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production, machine operation, fabrication, assembly, or quality control preferred.
  • Must be able to read and accurately use a tape measure.
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, or similar measuring instruments.
  • Previous experience inspecting parts or products during the manufacturing process is preferred.
  • Basic ability to read work orders, drawings, blueprints, or product specifications is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or measurements that are out of specification.
  • Comfortable working 12-hour shifts in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to learn additional quality-control procedures and inspection methods.
  • Must be dependable and safety-conscious.
