Job Description
We are seeking an Electromechanical Assembler to support the production of cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and electronic subassemblies. This position will primarily focus on cutting, stripping, crimping, routing, terminating, and assembling wires and cables according to detailed work instructions, drawings, and specifications. The ideal candidate will also have experience with soldering electronic components, with an IPC certification preferred.
Successful candidates are self-motivated, reliable, and hardworking, with a strong commitment to quality. Candidates must be highly detail-oriented, possess good manual dexterity, and be able to precisely follow written work instructions and assembly drawings.
Cable Assembly / Electromechanical Assembler Duties and Responsibilities
- Build cable assemblies and wire harnesses according to drawings, schematics, and written work instructions
- Cut, strip, crimp, terminate, route, and bundle wires and cables
- Solder wires, connectors, terminals, and electronic components as required
- Assemble electrical, electronic, and mechanical components and subassemblies
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure workmanship, quality, and conformance to specifications
- Complete device history records, production documentation, and daily production logs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Perform other assembly and production tasks as necessary
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous cable assembly, wire harness, or electromechanical assembly experience preferred
- Soldering experience required or strongly preferred
- IPC soldering certification preferred
- Experience working from engineering drawings, schematics, and detailed work instructions
- Experience with crimping, wire termination, and cable assembly is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow directions
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
