Industrial Engineering Summer Intern

KMM is looking for a motivated Industrial Engineering Intern to join our aerospace electronics manufacturing team for Summer 2027. This internship offers hands‑on experience improving production workflows, analyzing labor standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.

• Workflow Mapping - Observe production processes, document material flow, and identify bottlenecks.

• Time & Takt Studies - Collect cycle‑time data and support labor estimate refinement.

• Data Analysis - Analyze throughput, labor standards, and production metrics.

• Routing Review - Validate routing accuracy and workflow alignment with actual production.

• Lean Activities - Participate in 5S, waste‑reduction efforts, and small improvement projects.

• Cross‑Functional Collaboration - Work with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

• Familiarity with Excel, process‑mapping tools, or basic CAD

• Interest in Lean, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement

• Clear communication and teamwork skills

• Real engineering experience in aerospace manufacturing
