Is this you?

• Comfortable reading blueprints and translating them into high-precision welds and assemblies?
• Experienced with MIG on stainless (3–5 years), or completed a welding program plus 2 years of MIG experience?
• Mechanically inclined and confident communicating in English and following written instructions?

What you’ll tackle

• Execute stainless-steel welding, fitting, and tacking for car bodies and subassemblies using fixtures, jigs, and advanced equipment.
• Hold tight tolerances and meet engineering specs, welding standards, and quality targets.
• Detect, document, and repair fabrication defects with careful attention to detail.
• Operate welding/hand/power tools safely; follow PPE rules; maintain a clean, compliant workspace.
• Document work orders and quality checks; track hours; and consistently hit production schedules, productivity, and labor goals with limited supervision.

Nice-to-have credentials

• AWS cert for stainless GMAW 3G vertical up and 4F overhead
• GTAW/TIG familiarity

Work environment basics

• Frequent: walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling
• Occasional: sitting, fine manipulation, climbing/balancing, tight-space work, talking/hearing
• Lifting: up to 40 lbs
• Vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus
• PPE: Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) and required protective equipment

Pay, place, and perks

Location: Sacramento, CA. Starting rate: $23.01/hour. Shift differentials: +10% (2nd), +20% (3rd). Actual pay may be higher or lower based on budget, your experience, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
