In this vital role, you will provide essential support to nursing staff and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across various healthcare settings. We are currently hiring for all shifts (12 hour shifts) including PRN roles. Duties

  • Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort

  • Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates

  • Support medical procedures by preparing patients and assisting with tasks like catheter care, wound care, or basic life support during emergencies

  • Document patient information precisely using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner to ensure seamless communication among healthcare providers

  • Monitor patients’ conditions closely, report changes promptly, and collaborate with nurses on care plans for individuals with complex needs such as Alzheimer’s or dementia care

  • Help with medication administration under supervision, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols

  • Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or assistive devices to safely transfer or reposition patients in compliance with aseptic technique standards

Requirements

  • Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program with current state licensure or registration

  • Demonstrated experience working in diverse healthcare environments including long-term care facilities, hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), assisted living communities, or home care settings

  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as PCC, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms for medical documentation and patient records management

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and infection control practices necessary for safe patient care

  • Experience providing specialized care such as Alzheimer's/dementia memory care, behavioral health support, pediatric or geriatrics caregiving

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting with Hoyer lifts or working with patients requiring mobility assistance

  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA standards
