Forklift Operator / PIT Operator
Location: Peru, IL
Pay: $17/ hour + $1/hr upon successful PIT certification
Schedule: 1st Shift or 2nd Shift (2nd Shift includes an additional $1/hr shift differential)
Potential for Long Term Hire
Job Overview:
We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators with a minimum of one year of stand-up HiLo and sit-down forklift experience. Candidates should have previous PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) certification, whether current or expired, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment. Associates will complete company forklift certification training before operating equipment, with an opportunity to earn an additional $1/hour upon certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate stand-up HiLo and sit-down forklifts safely and efficiently
- Load, unload, move, and stage materials throughout the warehouse
- Transport products to designated locations while maintaining inventory accuracy
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and PIT operating guidelines
- Complete required in-house forklift certification training
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and general warehouse duties as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of stand-up and sit-down forklift experience
- Previous PIT certification required (current or expired certifications accepted)
- Ability to complete company forklift certification training
- Experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely throughout the shift
