Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Long-Term Care

Location: Pocatello, Idaho
Unit: Long-Term Care (LTC) / Nursing Home
Shift: Evenings, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Schedule: Variable
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Travel/Contract Assignment
Charting: Electronic Medical Records

Pay Rate: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join a Long-Term Care team in Pocatello, Idaho. The CNA will provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents while supporting nurses and other members of the healthcare team.

The facility provides care to both short-term and long-term residents in a nursing home/long-term care environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
  • Monitor residents and promptly report changes in condition to the nursing team.
  • Assist with meals, feeding, hydration, and positioning as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Follow facility policies, procedures, and infection-control standards.
  • Accurately document resident care using electronic medical records.
  • Provide compassionate and respectful care while maintaining resident dignity and privacy.
  • Collaborate effectively with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Support residents with daily activities while promoting independence whenever appropriate.
Requirements
  • Active CNA certification in the State of Idaho or applicable compact eligibility.
  • Previous experience in Long-Term Care (LTC), skilled nursing, or nursing home settings preferred.
  • BLS certification preferred.
  • Ability to work the assigned 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM evening shift with a flexible/variable schedule.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach to resident care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
