POSITION DESCRIPTION
As a Financial Management Administrator you will provide non-advisory, clerical financial support under the direction of the Government Resource Manager. This position focuses on preparing financial documentation, tracking budget execution data, and compiling reports and briefing materials. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within highly regulated government financial systems and processes.
MINIMUM/GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
The successful candidate must possess and maintain required skills to include, but not limited to:
• 5 years of federal contracting finance, financial administration, or program control experience.
• Hands-on experience with DEAMS (Defense Enterprise Accounting Management System) and DAI (Defense Agencies Initiative).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to build financial models, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Excellent communication skills for preparing briefings, reports, and documentation for Government review.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
• Understanding of federal budget execution processes and financial management principles.
ADDITIONAL PREFERABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Experience with WAWF (Wide Area Workflow), FM Suite, or other federal ERP systems.
• Familiarity with DoD financial management policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting Financial Management Board (FMB) preparations and resource reviews.
• Knowledge of POM (Program Objective Memorandum) development and budget formulation processes.
• Experience with CUI (Controlled Unclassified Information) handling and federal data security protocols.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY:
In this role you will:
• Prepare draft Form 9s, travel authorizations, and funding documents in DEAMS/DAI for Government signature.
• Track and monitor open documents; reconcile outstanding commitments and obligations.
• Build budget execution spreadsheets, compile Unfunded Requirements (UFR) lists, and draft spend plans for Government review and approval.
• Analyze execution rates, burn rates, and inflation factors to project future funding requirements.
• Draft future-year spend plans for Government review and approval.
• Develop predictive financial models, spreadsheets, and databases to forecast future-year costs.
• Assist in drafting POM narratives and supporting analytical documentation.
• Compile and format financial and procurement status reports, briefing slides, and data calls.
• Provide data compilation and analytical support for Financial Management Board (FMB) and resource review preparations, under Government direction.
• Work on Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) on secure Government networks only.
• Handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in accordance with federal security protocols.
EDUCATION:
B.S. in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related technical field preferred, or equivalent years of experience
