Job Description
Location: Hamilton, VA 20158
Contract: 16 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Shift: 7:30 AM–2:50 PM
Pay Rate: $20–$25/hr
Classroom: K–2 Autism (AUT)
Experience working with children or students with special needs preferred
Experience supporting students with autism preferred
Ability to provide one-on-one and small-group support
Strong communication and patience
Ability to support academic, behavioral, and developmental needs
Ability to follow IEP goals and classroom plans
Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a school team
Assist the lead teacher with daily instruction and classroom activities.
Provide one-on-one and small-group student support.
Help students follow classroom routines, schedules, and transitions.
Support implementation of IEP goals and accommodations.
Provide behavioral, social, and emotional support.
Assist with communication and social interaction skills.
Help develop appropriate classroom behaviors.
Support students with daily academic and developmental activities.
Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive classroom environment.
