Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Nursing Home Administrator in Training (AIT) to join our skilled nursing facility leadership team in Nebraska.
This is more than an observation or training position. As an AIT, you will be an active part of the facility's leadership team, gaining real-world experience in operations, staffing, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, census development, employee leadership, and resident satisfaction.
You'll work alongside experienced leaders while taking on increasing responsibility and developing the skills needed to successfully lead a skilled nursing facility.

Support the day-to-day operations of the skilled nursing facility
Work with department leaders to improve facility operations and outcomes
Provide leadership, direction, and support to department heads and staff
Assist with staffing, recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, retention, and employee performance
Support compliance with federal, state, and local long-term care regulations
Participate in survey preparation, regulatory visits, plans of correction, and compliance initiatives
Monitor facility performance, operational metrics, and quality improvement efforts
Support census development, admissions, referrals, and community relationships
Assist with labor management, expense control, budgeting, and other financial objectives
Address resident and family concerns and promote a positive resident experience
Participate in leadership, interdisciplinary, and quality assurance meetings
Collaborate with Nursing, Human Resources, Admissions, Dietary, Environmental Services, Social Services, and other departments
Help build a positive culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and quality care
Identify operational challenges and help ensure issues are resolved
Take on increasing leadership responsibility as your knowledge and experience grow
The ideal AIT candidate is:
Pursuing or eligible to pursue Nursing Home Administrator licensure in Nebraska
Qualified through education or experience to meet applicable Nebraska Nursing Home Administrator licensure requirements
A Bachelor's degree or other qualifying education is preferred
Experienced in or familiar with skilled nursing, long-term care, senior living, healthcare operations, or healthcare leadership
A strong communicator and organized problem-solver
Comfortable working with residents, families, employees, and leadership
Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
A confident decision-maker who is willing to take initiative
Interested in building a long-term career in healthcare leadership
