What You Will Be Doing:
As a Vendor Governance Manager, you will lead the strategy, administration, and continuous improvement of The Facilities Group's vendor governance program across our nationwide network of Independent Service Providers (ISPs). You will oversee vendor onboarding, compliance, insurance verification, contract administration, and governance processes while ensuring alignment with organizational standards and risk management objectives. Working closely with Operations, Vendor Relations, Legal, Finance, Client Success, and executive leadership, you will develop scalable processes, drive vendor compliance initiatives, and promote operational excellence across all TFG brands. This role is ideal for a proactive leader who thrives on building programs, improving processes, mitigating risk, and driving accountability within a rapidly growing organization.
This is a hybrid position based out of our office in Tampa, FL.
Vendor Governance Manager Duties & Responsibilities
· Lead and oversee all vendor governance functions, including onboarding, compliance monitoring, insurance verification, documentation management, and contract administration.
· Manage the organization's Independent Service Provider (ISP) onboarding program, ensuring consistent standards, efficiency, and compliance across all TFG brands.
· Develop, implement, and continuously improve vendor governance policies, procedures, controls, and best practices.
· Identify process improvement opportunities that enhance efficiency, reduce administrative burden, and strengthen compliance controls.
· Establish and maintain vendor compliance frameworks to mitigate organizational, contractual, operational, and financial risk.
· Ensure vendor insurance, licensing, certifications, and contractual requirements remain current and compliant with company standards.
· Serve as the primary escalation point for complex vendor compliance, onboarding, documentation, and contractual issues.
· Assist with the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of vendor governance policies, procedures, and best practices.
· Partner with Legal, Operations, Vendor Relations, Client Success, Risk Management, and executive leadership to evaluate compliance concerns and implement corrective actions.
· Monitor vendor compliance performance and develop reporting dashboards, scorecards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support operational decision-making.
· Analyze vendor onboarding, compliance, and performance data to identify trends, risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
· Lead internal audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
· Drive process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, improve vendor experience, strengthen compliance controls, and support organizational scalability.
· Oversee vendor documentation management systems and ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
· Develop training materials, documentation standards, and operating procedures for vendor governance processes.
· Collaborate with leadership to support strategic initiatives, acquisitions, integrations, and operational expansion efforts.
· Manage departmental projects, priorities, and performance objectives while ensuring timely completion of key deliverables.
· Supervise, coach, and develop Vendor Governance Coordinators and other support personnel as assigned.
· Prepare executive-level reporting and provide recommendations regarding vendor risk, compliance trends, and program effectiveness.
· Support additional governance, compliance, risk management, or operational initiatives as assigned.
Vendor Governance Manager Requirements & Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Operations, Legal Studies, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
· Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in vendor management, compliance, contract administration, onboarding, procurement, risk management, or related business operations functions.
· Minimum of 2 years of leadership, supervisory, project leadership, or program management experience preferred.
· Experience supporting a multi-brand, multi-location, or nationwide service organization.
· Experience within janitorial, facilities management, maintenance, field services, franchising, or outsourced services industries.
· Demonstrated experience building, managing, or improving vendor governance, compliance, onboarding, or third-party risk programs.
· Strong knowledge of contract administration, insurance compliance, vendor lifecycle management, and risk mitigation practices.
· Experience developing policies, procedures, governance standards, and operational controls.
· Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency, including reporting, analysis, and dashboard creation.
· Experience working with CRM, vendor management, compliance, contract lifecycle management, or workflow automation systems.
· Strong analytical and business process improvement capabilities.
· Ability to interpret complex documentation, identify risks, and develop scalable solutions.
· Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.
· Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
· Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
· High degree of professionalism, discretion, integrity, and accountability.
· Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive results in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
· Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
