Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – ED / Med-Surg / Peds

Location: Syracuse, NY 13210
Contract: 17 Weeks
Pay Rate:

• Pay Range : $25 - $32
  Hours: 36–40 Hours/Week

Schedule:

• ED / Med-Surg: 6×12-hour shifts over 2 weeks
• Peds Float Pool: 4×8-hour + 4×12-hour shifts over 2 weeks
• Every other weekend required

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current NY State CNA Certification
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year patient-care experience
• Level I Trauma Hospital experience required
• Minimum 2 years ADL experience required
• Acute-care experience preferred
• Safety companion experience highly desired
• Must be available every other weekend
• Must successfully complete pre-employment health clearance

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including vital signs, bathing, toileting, and feeding.
• Assist patients with ADLs.
• Serve as a safety companion when assigned.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition.
• Maintain a safe and clean patient environment.
• Support nurses and other healthcare professionals.
• Obtain and document patient information accurately.
• Respond to changing patient needs.
• Maintain positive communication with patients, families, and staff.
