Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 1+ years of experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
Details
- Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab, including hybrid OR and special procedures settings
- Adult diagnostic catheterization patient population
- Procedures include ASD closures, cardiac stent placement, TAVR, Watchman, PCI, PTCA, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, and rotablator atherectomy
- Uses fluoroscopy, PACS, Philips, and Siemens equipment
- Varying day shifts including 0700-1530 and 0730-1600, with occasional stay-late shifts 1-2 times per week and 0830-1700 call shifts
- On-call required one weekday per week (Monday-Thursday) and every 4th to 5th weekend from Friday 1700 to Monday 0700
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of cath lab experience required
- ARRT (R) or CCI RCIS certification required
- State license required if applicable
- Epic charting system experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Skilled in EKG lead placement, access site prep, hemodynamic monitoring, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and interpret dysrhythmias
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include equipment setup, room circulating, scrubbing to maintain sterile field, and accurate patient monitoring
- Involvement in rapid response and code team activities as needed
- Scrubs provided
- First-time travelers accepted
- Candidates living within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and are not accepted
- Clinicians cannot work past 1 year as a traveler at this facility and must take a 6-month break before returning
