Custodian/Groundskeeper - Now Hiring

General Purpose:

Maintains office building and manufacturing area in clean and orderly condition. Perform cleaning and building maintenance duties both inside and outside of the facility.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Remove all refuse from the interior of the plant and deposit in containers outside of the plant.
• Use chemicals to sanitize and clean facility.
• Maintain all restrooms in a sanitary manner throughout the plant.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of exterior of plant.
• Assist with office equipment moves and meeting set-ups as needed or requested. Use proper lifting techniques when moving furniture and large pieces to avoid injury.
• Clean windows, vents, fixtures, walkways and steps daily. Handle unscheduled duties as requested.
• Maintains accurate inventory and replenishes cleaning supplies and paper products in break room and restrooms.
• Adhere to all DFA  Food Safety and Quality policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
• Adhere to all DFA  Safety policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
• Adhere to all DFA  GMP policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
• Performs duties in safe manner and reports all safety concerns.
• Keep self and equipment in a sanitary fashion
• Other duties as assigned by management

Required Minimum Qualifications:

            Education and Experience  

            Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

             Moderate physical effort is required.

• Work involves inside and outside of plant.
• Adherence to Department and company safety rules.
• Performs routine, light manual work in cleaning offices, halls and restrooms using equipment such as floor sweepers, polishers, vacuum cleaners, and dusters.
• Follow all Dairy Farmers of America GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory quality and sanitation requirements.
