Substitute Preschool Teacher
REPORTS TO:
Preschool Director
JOB CLASSIFICATION:
Non-Exempt Position
JOB PURPOSE:The Substitute Preschool Teacher is a temporary position to provide continuity of instruction for students ages 2-4 when the homeroom teacher or assistant teacher is absent. The Substitute Preschool Teacher may serve in the role of homeroom teacher or assistant teacher in the preschool classroom. The Substitute Preschool Teacher is hired on a daily basis or for a limited term.
The Substitute Preschool Teacher will model the GDS Community Cornerstones of Respect, Kindness, Integrity, and Responsibility.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Works collaboratively with the Preschool Director and Preschool team members to deliver lesson plans
Adheres to the designated curriculum
Differentiates instruction to meet the needs of all students
Manages the classroom with safety and security as the top priority
Completes non-academic tasks as necessary (lunch duty, carpool, etc.).
Performs other duties as assigned by the Head of School.
