- Rack, stack, cable, patch, label, and physically install network equipment when required.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues from the physical layer through routing, switching, wireless, and other network layers.
- Support wired and wireless networks across multiple geographically distributed facilities.
- Participate in new data center builds, including physical network infrastructure installation, configuration, testing, and turn-up.
- Help modernize and upgrade existing data center and enterprise network infrastructure.
- Support network installations and implementations for new facilities and site expansions.
- Work onsite with facilities, infrastructure teams, vendors, contractors, and other technical teams to get network infrastructure installed and operational.
- Configure and troubleshoot enterprise routing and switching environments.
- Support connectivity between the enterprise network, Microsoft Azure, Oracle, internet service providers, and other external/cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues involving equipment, cabling, circuits, configurations, and connectivity.
- Travel between facilities as needed to support network projects, installations, and troubleshooting.
- Provide senior-level technical expertise while remaining actively involved in the physical and technical implementation of network solutions.
- Create and maintain network diagrams, configurations, standards, procedures, and documentation.
- Share knowledge and troubleshooting techniques with other members of the Enterprise Network team.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters Degrees in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecom Engineering or a related Science or Technology fields. (Required)
- Advanced Certs such as CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Data Center, CWDP, Optical Networking or Arista ACE Professional
- 5–8+ years of progressive network engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience installing, configuring, upgrading, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure.
- Strong Cisco networking experience.
- Advanced understanding of enterprise routing and switching.
- Experience working directly with data center network infrastructure.
- Strong wired and wireless networking experience.
- Experience physically installing and supporting network equipment, cabling, patch panels, and related infrastructure.
- Experience performing network implementations, migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure modernization.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network problems across multiple layers.
- Comfortable working in data centers, equipment rooms, maintenance facilities, and other infrastructure environments.
- Ability and willingness to get hands-on with equipment and physical infrastructure when the job requires it.
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities across different locations.
