Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Connect Staffing is hiring a Shipping & Receiving / Warehouse Utility Worker for a manufacturing plant in North Houston, TX. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $18.00/hr on a Monday–Friday day schedule. In this role, you will ship and receive raw materials and finished goods, operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, and pack and label shipments to customer specifications. This is a stable, long-term opportunity with consistent daytime hours.

Pay: $18.00/hr

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks using sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
• Place inventory on racks and maintain proper storage throughout the warehouse and yard areas.
• Pull requisitions and materials from stock to support production jobs.
• Set up, operate, and maintain the twister machine; band skids and E-containers to wood pallets using banding equipment.
• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to manufacturing specifications.
• Enter data and print shipping and manufacturing documents using computer systems.

Minimum Requirements

• 2+ years of recent shipping and receiving experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using a twister machine or industrial banding equipment.
• Familiarity with barcoding, labeling, and packing shipments to customer specifications.
• Experience pulling production requisitions and managing inventory on racks.
• Ability to read and follow JHAs (Job Hazard Analyses), safety procedures, and written work instructions.
• Experience with data entry and printing documents in a warehouse or shipping software system.
• Ability to operate both sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
