Job Coach- Council Bluffs

Hands of Heartland is looking for dependable and compassionate individuals to provide job coaching to people with developmental disabilities in Council Bluffs, IA. 

What You’ll Do: Work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of job settings to ensure they have meaningful employment. As a Job Coach you will assist individuals on the job and communicate with employers in a professional manner. Collaborate with employer to create natural supports on the job. Support the individual with training. Advocate for the individual on work related issues.

Hours: Flexibility required with availability of days, evenings, and some weekends required. Flexibility is a must as hours are based on the individual's needs. 

Skillset Needed for the Job: Ability to work independently in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. Flexible and willing to adapt to change. Know the value of communication. Desire to support people and encourage them to reach goals. Understand the importance of documentation.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old. 
• Must be able to pass all background checks. 
• Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred although not required. We will train you!
