Status: This is a full-time; hourly position
Hours: Monday – Thursday: 5am – 3:30pm & Fridays as needed; overtime as needed

JOB SUMMARY: The Bundler is responsible for bundling a wide variety of granite stone products when production is complete to prepare them for shipment.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Use various overhead cranes to move granite stone as needed.
• Coordinate production tickets and completed granite products to sort them onto pallets based on customer, shipping carrier, shipment date and/or destination.
• Use chop saw and nail gun to cut and assemble lumber into crates and bottoms that are necessary for shipping.
• Apply knowledge of stone tolerance to package products in the most effective way possible and to protect it from damage and staining during shipment. 
• Maintain an understanding of specific packaging requirements for a variety of shipping carriers.
• Use a handheld banding machine and assembled crates or bottoms to bundle granite shipments.
• Operate the automatic stretch wrap machine to wrap pallets in shrink wrap. 
• Scan completed orders into JDE system to print appropriate shipping label and bundling ticket.
• Use industrial stapler to attach the labels to the appropriate shipment.
• Coordinate with the forklift driver to move and sort pallets ready for shipment.
• Route granite products that need additional finishing or assembly to the appropriate production area as needed.
• Maintain an appropriate level of prepared crate pieces or bottoms for standard size products to improve efficiency.

Requirements:

• Must obtain forklift certification (training and certification provided by Coldspring for all employees who may be required to operate a forklift).
• General computer skills.
• Ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another, to avoid interruptions in production.
• Ability to work independently, with little or no supervision.
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills, with an emphasis in time management, improving efficiencies and exercising independent judgment to determine work priority and urgency.
• Mechanically inclined.
• General math skills.
• Must be able to read work orders or production tickets, which may include dimensional drawings.
• Ability to read a tape measure, imperial and metric.
• Work as a self-motivated team member who adheres to all safety protocols and is willing to cross-train as needed.
