Reach Truck Operator

Connect Staffing is hiring a Reach Truck Operator for a warehouse in North Houston, TX. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $14.00/hr. In this role, you will operate a reach truck and order picker to move pallets from high racking, pick fall-protection products from elevated rack locations, and scan and verify inventory using an RF scanner.

Pay: $14.00/hr

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 AMto 5:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Operate a reach truck and order picker to move, place, and retrieve pallets from high racking throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload pallets and cartons in receiving and shipping areas.
• Replenish picking locations and relocate inventory to assigned warehouse slots.
• Verify product quantities, labels, and locations before moving inventory.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical or safety issues.
• Keep aisles and work areas clean and organized.

Minimum Requirements

• 1+ year of experience operating a reach truck and/or order picker in a warehouse environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-rack picking at elevated platform heights.
• Familiarity with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for inventory tracking and order processing.
• Experience staging and verifying outbound shipments.
• Background in distribution, fulfillment, or industrial supply warehousing.
• Knowledge of OSHA-required fall-protection procedures for elevated order picker platforms.
• Experience using an radio-frequency (RF) scanner to scan, verify, and track inventory.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently.
• Ability to work at a fast pace in a warehouse environment.
• Steel-toe boots required (employee-provided).
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must pass a background check.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify).
