WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF TRAVEL MARKETING

Elite Travel Inc. is pleased to offer an educational marketing internship featuring CuriousTraveling.com, our robust portfolio of economical, hosted worldwide travel adventures designed primarily for travelers ages 18–35.

CuriousTraveling.com provides opportunities for young adults to explore destinations around the world using affordable accommodations, including hosted and hostel-style experiences, while traveling with others within a similar age demographic.

This internship offers a student the opportunity to study real-world marketing strategies in a closely supervised and supportive learning environment. The program is specifically structured to provide educational training and practical experience for someone preparing to enter the marketing, advertising, communications, hospitality, tourism, or travel industries.

PURPOSE OF THE INTERNSHIP

This internship is designed primarily for the educational benefit of the student. Its purpose is to complement the student’s academic instruction by providing supervised exposure to real-world marketing concepts, tools, platforms, and decision-making processes.

The internship is not intended to replace the work of a paid employee or satisfy Elite Travel Inc.’s regular staffing needs. The intern will receive instruction, supervision, feedback, and opportunities for professional reflection throughout the program.

The intern’s assignments will be connected to specific educational objectives established by the student, the student’s professor or faculty advisor, and Elite Travel Inc.

PRIMARY LEARNING OBJECTIVES

During the internship, the student may learn how to:

• Develop a marketing plan for an international travel product;

• Identify target audiences and create customer profiles;

• Prepare and manage sample marketing budgets;

• Design supervised marketing campaigns for selected audiences;

• Compare promotional opportunities across more than 15 established and emerging social-media platforms;

• Research the audiences, advertising options, strengths, limitations, and costs associated with different platforms;

• Use analytics and reporting tools to monitor campaign performance;

• Track engagement, reach, impressions, conversions, customer inquiries, acquisition costs, and other performance indicators;

• Analyze which campaigns perform successfully, which do not, and which may provide an appropriate return on investment;

• Research emerging trends in social media, digital advertising, travel marketing, and consumer behavior;

• Design small-scale test campaigns in a controlled and supervised educational environment;

• Create marketing concepts for direct mail, email, websites, social media, digital advertising, traditional media, and nontraditional media;

• Practice marketing copywriting, content development, brand positioning, campaign planning, and audience engagement;

• Develop sample graphics, videos, written content, promotional concepts, and campaign calendars;

• Study ethical advertising practices, copyright requirements, customer privacy, responsible data use, and professional communication;

• Prepare written reports and presentations explaining research findings and campaign results; and

• Develop a portfolio or final presentation demonstrating the skills and knowledge gained during the internship.

SUPERVISION AND FEEDBACK

The student will receive:

• An orientation to Elite Travel Inc. and CuriousTraveling.com;

• A written learning plan containing defined educational objectives;

• Training before performing assigned educational activities;

• Regular supervision from an assigned Elite Travel Inc. representative;

• Instructional meetings and opportunities to ask questions;

• Constructive feedback regarding completed assignments;

• Opportunities to observe marketing and travel-industry professionals;

• Time to document and reflect upon lessons learned;

• A midpoint progress review;

• A final educational evaluation; and

• Verification of completed internship hours.

When required, Elite Travel Inc. will communicate with the student’s professor, faculty advisor, or internship coordinator and complete reasonable academic evaluations or verification forms.

MINIMUM 150-HOUR REQUIREMENT

Elite Travel Inc. will consider only students whose educational institutions require an internship consisting of at least 150 hours.

Before acceptance, the applicant must provide written confirmation from the educational institution showing:

• That the internship is connected to the student’s academic program;

• That the institution requires a minimum of 150 internship hours;

• The deadline for completing those hours;

• The institution’s requirements for documenting completed hours; and

• The name and contact information of the professor, faculty advisor, or internship coordinator responsible for overseeing the internship.

The internship schedule will be established in advance and will be limited to the period reasonably necessary to accomplish the approved educational objectives.

ACADEMIC SCHEDULE

The internship is intended to accommodate the student’s academic commitments. When reasonably possible, the schedule will be coordinated around classes, examinations, school holidays, and other academic responsibilities.

Applicants must provide a copy of their current or upcoming school schedule so that Elite Travel Inc. can determine whether the student has sufficient availability to complete the required minimum of 150 hours within the educational institution’s deadline.

Academic credit is determined solely by the student’s educational institution and is not guaranteed by Elite Travel Inc.

EXAMPLES OF EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES

Depending upon the student’s academic requirements, experience, and learning goals, activities may include:

• Observing marketing-planning meetings;

• Researching target audiences and travel trends;

• Comparing social-media platforms and their advertising capabilities;

• Developing sample content calendars;

• Preparing proposed campaign budgets;

• Creating mock advertisements and promotional materials;

• Drafting supervised social-media content;

• Studying campaign analytics and performance reports;

• Conducting competitor and destination research;

• Evaluating potential marketing channels;

• Preparing direct-mail and email-marketing concepts;

• Developing a final campaign proposal;

• Maintaining an educational journal or activity log; and

• Presenting a final summary of the student’s research, accomplishments, and lessons learned.

The student will not independently operate company accounts, authorize advertising expenditures, enter contracts, make financial commitments, establish prices, or represent that the student has authority to bind Elite Travel Inc.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal applicant will:

• Be enrolled in a college, university, technical school, or other qualifying educational program;

• Need to complete at least 150 internship hours as part of that program;

• Have an interest in marketing, communications, advertising, social media, travel, tourism, hospitality, or business;

• Demonstrate creativity, professionalism, dependability, and attention to detail;

• Possess effective written and verbal communication skills;

• Be comfortable conducting research and presenting findings;

• Be willing to learn new platforms and analytical tools;

• Be receptive to supervision and constructive feedback;

• Be able to follow instructions and meet academic deadlines; and

• Follow all company requirements involving confidentiality, customer privacy, branding, technology, and professional conduct.

Previous professional marketing experience is not required. Relevant classroom projects, volunteer activities, personal creative projects, and student-organization experience may be considered.

CONFIDENTIALITY, PRIVACY, AND COMPANY SYSTEMS

The student may be required to sign reasonable confidentiality, information-security, intellectual-property, and acceptable-use agreements before receiving access to company information or systems.

The student will receive only the access reasonably necessary for approved educational activities. Unless specifically authorized, trained, and supervised, the student will not have access to customers’ payment-card information, banking information, passport information, private addresses, protected account credentials, or other highly sensitive personal information.

Elite Travel Inc. will not require the student to disclose personal social-media passwords. Work performed through company-controlled platforms will use authorized company access and remain subject to supervision and approval.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

To be considered, an applicant must submit all of the following:

• A current résumé;

• A cover letter explaining the applicant’s interest in marketing, social media, international travel, and the CuriousTraveling.com educational internship;
