Transloading Specialist

A Transload Specialist is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient transloading of various commodities between railcars, trucks, and warehouses.  This position requires strict adherence to safety protocols, strong communication with equipment operators and team members, and the ability to work in a physically demanding and dynamic environment.

Knowledge and Requirement

• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Ability to consistently lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 75 lbs. infrequently
• Work varying shifts and weekends
• Ability to work in extreme and unpredictable weather conditions
• Work effectively with management, peers, subordinates

Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely Assists in Transloading Processes
  • Coordinates with equipment operator to load and unload trucks
  • Coordinates with equipment operator to safely transload commodities from railcar to ground storage
• Rail Movement Assistance:
• Support railcar movement and placement as directed
• Team Support
• Assist other crews with special projects or assignments
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
• Uphold and promote company vision and safety culture
• Communication & Accountability:
• Maintain clear and prompt communication with supervisors regarding issues, incidents, or concerns
• Take corrective action or propose alternative solutions as appropriate
• Perform all duties effectively and in accordance with company policies to meet role objectives
• Other Duties:
• Perform additional responsibilities or duties as assigned by management
